About the Film:

His Girl Friday is considered one of the most iconic screwball comedies of the '40s. Released in 1940 starring Rosalind Russell and Cary Grant as divorcees working for a top newspaper attempting to crack open a murder mystery case. Hildy Johnson (Russell) is introduced at the top of the film as the paper's top reporter preparing to leave the industry to get remarried to an insurance salesman Bruce Baldwin until her sly ex-husband Walter Burns reintroduces her to the thrill of the pursuit for information. And here's a fun fact: The film is an adaptation of a stage play called "The Front Page" where Hildy's character is actually a male role. The film producers changed the character to female to add an element to romance to the plot.

About the Series:

Glee is a musical comedy television series that has been aired on Fox TV since May 2009 with a large and dedicated following. The plot circles around an ensemble cast of diverse and rather dramatic highschoolers and the adults in their lives as a group of misfits united by musical talent band together in the form of a Glee club under the direction of optimistic Spanish teacher, Will Schuester. The show is currently in its second season and continues to have a massive viewer following as well as top selling music sales for the covers features on the show. Costume designer Lou Eryrich was honored at this years Emmy awards with a design nomination.

Who else to start taking inspiration from but the Upper-East Side's most fashionable diva?

Blair is the perfect example of how to make the prep-school look chic and everyday appropriate.

She is polished, feminine, put-together and her outfits are always coordinated, balancing statement pieces with well-tailored basics.

Here's some examples of looks typical of Blair:
